TERMINAL EXPANSION PROJECT ADVISORY #1: Ground Transportation Location Changes

The Lee County Port Authority has started work on the terminal roadway improvements that are part of the Terminal Expansion Project Phase 2 at Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW). Travelers will notice construction fencing on the lower level roadways and there will be changes to the location of ground transportation options starting Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2025.

Starting Friday, Jan. 10, 2025, the ONLY crosswalks for passengers, visitors and employees to transit from the terminal building to the Short-term Parking Garage, Car Rental Facility and all ground transportation options, including shuttles to the Long-term Parking Lot, On-demand taxis and LeeTran buses will be Crosswalk 5 on the upper level and Crosswalks 1 and 5 on the lower level.

About the Department

The Lee County Port Authority Police Department is a full service, professional, law enforcement agency, providing 24 hours a day, seven days a week law enforcement services to the traveling public, airport tenants and employees at Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) and Page Field (FMY) in Fort Myers, Florida. The purpose of the department is to safeguard the traveling public and provide immediate support to the Department of Homeland Security.

Obtain a Copy of a Police Report

A copy of a police report at Southwest Florida International Airport or Page Field, involving yourself, can be obtained from the LCPA Police Department. You need to make a request to the Department Records Section. We promptly respond to each request; however, delays can result if the report requires additional processing time or if any of the requested information is missing. Reports will be sent by fax, mail, email or can be picked up at the LCPA Police Department.
