TERMINAL EXPANSION PROJECT ADVISORY #1: Ground Transportation Location Changes

The Lee County Port Authority has started work on the terminal roadway improvements that are part of the Terminal Expansion Project Phase 2 at Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW). Travelers will notice construction fencing on the lower level roadways and there will be changes to the location of ground transportation options starting Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2025.

Starting Friday, Jan. 10, 2025, the ONLY crosswalks for passengers, visitors and employees to transit from the terminal building to the Short-term Parking Garage, Car Rental Facility and all ground transportation options, including shuttles to the Long-term Parking Lot, On-demand taxis and LeeTran buses will be Crosswalk 5 on the upper level and Crosswalks 1 and 5 on the lower level.

Airport parking is easy – rates include all taxes and fees. No extra charges make using airport parking convenient and economical. You can breeze through our convenient automated credit card/mobile pay only exit lanes from both lots for even faster service.

Both parking lots are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and no reservations are required. Parking at the airport includes free vehicle services as well, including jump starts, help locating your vehicle, tire inflations, etc. We want to make sure you are taken care of and can get on your way promptly!

If you are interested in covered parking and a brief walk  to the terminal, park in the Short-term Parking Garage. It is located directly across from the terminal building in the garage with rental car and ground transportation facilities on the ground floor. The first 20 minutes are FREE, if you would like to park and come into the terminal to meet your friends or family when they arrive or make sure they get where they need to be when they are leaving Southwest Florida. The second level offers covered parking and third level is open air.

If you are interested in economy parking at the airport, select the Long-term Parking Lot. This surface lot is located behind the garage and offers door-to-door complimentary shuttle service for passengers and luggage to and from your car to the terminal curb. And the airport will take care of the heavy lifting for you, as customers are not only picked up and dropped off at your car, but the driver will assist you with your luggage.

The surface parking lot is located beyond the garage. Shuttles provide transportation to and from this lot, as well as luggage assistance.

Forms of payment accepted for parking on site at Southwest Florida International Airport are cash, American Express, Discover, MasterCard, Visa, Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Extended Stays

To make arrangements to leave your vehicle longer than 60 days, please contact ABM Parking at 239-768-1818. Vehicles left longer than 60 days without prior arrangements are subject to towing at the owner’s expense.
